ScienceMatters is campaigning for science to form a key part of the EU policy-making process.  Its members are calling on decision-makers to take a balanced approach which takes into account sound science combined with ethical, social, economic, and political concerns.

Furthermore, we believe that when assessing and authorising products and technologies for their use, decision-makers must thoroughly assess their possible risks in light of the benefits they provide. This approach can lead to sound and proportionate legislation which in turn provides optimal protection for both the consumer and the environment.

The members of the campaign are currently Albemarle, Chemtura, Foundation Nanonet, and ICL-IP.
